The little dog that could. ABC’s quirky off-cycle comedy pilot Downward Dog, about a talking dog, made it to the ABC schedule. Also making the cut was The Second Fattest Housewife in Westport, but without its somewhat polarizing title. Both pilots had been well received. There was some debate whether Downward Dog could sustain its premise in the long run but ultimately, the pilot won over everyone and made it to the schedule.
